Microbio Wines project was founded in 1998 by Ismael Gozalo who wished to continue the winemaking tradition of his ancestors, growing grapes and working with soils the same way they had done before. Blessed with very old vines (140-280 years old) in his vineyards, he farms without chemicals and works in the cellar with no additives whatsoever. The wines of Ismael Gozalo from Castilla y Leon are a great example of what radical and rebellious wine actually is. They are always experimental, rule-breaking, the ones that push the boundaries.
