The winery was founded in the 1950s and became one of the pioneers in natural winemaking and chemical-free farming since organic viticulture and low intervention were embraced from the very beginning. Nowadays Clos des vignes du Maynes is being managed by Julien Guillot who converted the domaine from organics to biodynamics in 1998. Their wines are the real gems of Burgundy that express all the complexity and uniqueness of the local soils.
