Christoph Hoch is an Austrian winemaker from the small town of Hollenburg. His vineyards are located on beautiful rich chalky soils comparable to the ones in Champagne, which encouraged him to make sparkling wines that show fantastic quality. His work in the vineyards is meticulous, his parcels are divided into categories, and depending on the category, Christoph decides how to treat the vines. This insane amount of work is always reflected in the final product. Hoch’s wines are unique, always non-vintage to bring the best expression of a terroir, always unconventional, breaking boundaries and opening new horizons. A true representation of Austrian “New wave”.
